How the ratio works
| Machine | Takes | Makes | Power |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pressure Chamber | 25 kg/min dust | 25 kg/min Moon Sand (3×) | 10 kW |
| Stone Press | 10 kg/min dust + 10 kg/min Moon Sand | 20 kg/min Moonstone (7×) | 18 kW |
One Stone Press plus the 0.4 Pressure Chamber that feeds it eats 20 kg/min of dust in total. So:
| Dust per minute | Pressure Chambers | Stone Presses | Power | Belts in (~100/min) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 50 kg | 1 | 3 (2.5) | 64 kW | 1 |
| 100 kg | 2 | 5 | 110 kW | 1 |
| 200 kg | 4 | 10 | 220 kW | 2 |
| 400 kg | 8 | 20 | 440 kW | 4 |
That matches the player layouts going round: 1 Capsule Catcher : 2 Chambers : 5 Presses per belt, or a “full” factory of 2 Catchers, 4 Chambers and 8 Presses (which runs the presses a little short of sand).
Building it
- Bring the dust in on one belt per ~100 kg/min — belt speed is the main bottleneck.
- Split it: 40% to the Pressure Chambers, 60% straight to the Stone Presses’ dust side.
- Send the Moon Sand to the presses’ other input, merge the Moonstone and belt it into the depot intake (it’s paid on arrival — automation).
- Power: about 2 large solar panels per machine so batteries last the night (night).
The machine rates are reported from the build menu by guides, not measured by us; the Stone Press recipe in particular has conflicting reports. If your numbers differ, open “Change machine rates” in the calculator.
