What’s shared and what isn’t
| In co-op | |
|---|---|
| The world (cleaned ground, buildings, belts) | Shared — it’s the host’s save. 1.0.4 fixed dust reappearing for some players |
| Upgrade Matrix | Shared since 1.0.3 — the host’s tree; anyone’s purchase counts for everyone. Old saves keep the highest level anyone had bought |
| Money | Players report one shared wallet ⚠️ |
| Belts, splitters, mergers | Anyone can build on anyone’s belts (1.0.3 / 1.0.4) |
| Vehicles | Kept in garages; any garage can call any of them (1.0.3) |
| The tool in your hand, suit inventory | Your own ⚠️ |
Host controls
Press ESC → Your Crew to see everyone in the game. The host can kick or ban; banned players can’t rejoin that save, and the host can unban them from the same screen.
Rules and limits
- Same version required. All crewmates must be on the same patch, and saves made in 1.0.4 can’t be opened in older versions.
- No crossplay — the game is only on Steam for Windows (platforms).
- No dedicated servers are listed; the host’s PC holds the world.
- Playing with at least one other person unlocks the achievement OH You Have Friends? — the only one that needs a second player (achievements).
Tips for a big crew
- Split up: some players clean far away, others build belts and machines at the base (automation).
- One person should own the factory layout — belts are the bottleneck, and messy splitters stall everything.
- Reviewers often say the Moon is huge for one player but fun with friends, so co-op is the intended way to make real progress.
