1.0.4 — October 25
New
- Night Vision Goggles — $350 suit upgrade. Press N to cycle helmet lamp → goggles → off. Nights look like day (without shadows).
- Better Moon map — right-click to set a waypoint, focus or teleport; every robot shows on the map with what it’s doing, and you can toggle each robot type.
- Teleport panel — jump between stations you’ve discovered.
- New suit HUD icons for the lamp/goggles, jetpack boosts and gravity boots; helmet lamp upgrades moved to the supply wall.
- Capsule Catcher shows the dust inside and now holds 100 kg.
J.O.O.N.A.S.
- No more trips back to the dock: it cleans a sector and launches capsules to the nearest catcher from wherever it is.
- 2× faster — cleans one hex at a time from the outside in until it’s 100% done.
- Finds its way around buildings and skips hexes it can’t reach.
- Keeps working when no players are nearby (the biggest launch complaint).
- Bin gauge flashes red when full; look at it to see an info panel and which sector it’s on.
Saves
- Saving a big base takes a fraction of a second instead of up to 30 seconds; quitting no longer hangs on “Saving your progress…”.
- Automatic backups — up to 5 per save slot (one a minute into each session, then every 30 minutes), stored outside Steam Cloud. Damaged saves repair themselves on load and after a crash. Details: save file location.
Multiplayer
- Everyone now sees the same cleaned ground — no more dust reappearing.
- Any crewmate can add splitters and mergers to someone else’s belts; mergers now alternate between inputs.
Fixes — machines stuck on “Could not pack a capsule”, falling through the Moon after teleports, foundations next to ramps, machines failing to build side by side, map not showing full section payments (including the Region Bounty), freezing when switching tools with many robots, capsules falling under foundations, Steam Deck / Linux startup on older Proton, and AMD crashes (DirectX 11 is now default).
Developer message — October 24
The two developers apologised for crashes, performance, multiplayer bugs, “lack of automation” and progression balance, and said fixes would keep coming every few days. Bugs are reported on their Discord.
1.0.3 — October 24
- Upgrades are shared in co-op: the whole crew uses the host’s upgrade tree and anyone’s purchase upgrades everyone. Old saves keep the highest level anyone had bought.
- Host controls: ESC → Your Crew lets the host kick or ban (and unban) players.
- Splitters and mergers built by crewmates work; they now snap straight onto each other.
- Belt deliveries are paid as they arrive, and the depot intake pays exactly what its screen shows — this is how auto-selling works.
- Big machines (pressure chambers, stone presses, garages) can stand across several square foundations; you can drop a carried capsule onto a belt where you aim.
- Vehicles work at every garage; demolishing a garage no longer deletes the vehicles inside.
- Heavily cleaned worlds load again; saves check and repair themselves; up to ~20% higher frame rates on big bases.
Moon Sweepers hit 62,957 players at once on Oct 27, its biggest day so far.
