How saving works now (1.0.4)
- Fast saves — big bases save in a fraction of a second; quitting no longer hangs on “Saving your progress…”.
- 5 backups per slot — taken a minute into each session and then every 30 minutes, stored outside Steam Cloud at
C:\Users\<you>\AppData\LocalLow\DragDropGames\MoonSweepers\Backups - Auto-repair — a damaged save (or part of it) is restored from backups when the world loads.
- Crash recovery — after a crash, the next start checks your saves and repairs them.
Manual safety copy: before trying mods or save editors, copy the whole MoonSweepers folder somewhere else.
